Your choice of home care is one of the most important decisions you will
make. That's why it's essential to have a highly qualified, caring
attendant who is a welcome presence in your home.
Nightingale offers you highly trained staff, selected for both their
skill and commitment. They are carefully screened and supervised, and
all are fully bonded and insured. |

SPECIALIZED FOR LIVE-IN CARE
Our companions are highly skilled, capable caregivers who enable clients to
maintain their independence in a dignified, safe living environment.
Nightingale's companions, whether remaining our employees or hired on a
referral-fee basis, have been chosen for their expertise and experience.
Our agency hire companions are health care aides who provide an alternative to
institutional placement for clients who need round the clock supervision but not
24 hour awake and alert care. Since they live in the client's home there is a
special set of demands placed on our companions. They are not only employees,
but caregivers and even confidantes.
Companions hired through a referral fee arrangement have a background in health
care and a minimum of two years live in experience, or an appropriate
combination of training and experience. A live in position gives them the
security of full time employment caring for one client.
We have a comprehensive screening process to ensure that all companions meet
Nightingale's strict criteria for employment. |
MULTI-SKILLED FOR REHABOur client
care coordinators and rehab aides provide an interactive approach to care that
is both flexible and economical.
Client care coordinators work in our office and are an integral part of the
team. They set the tone and direction for the rehab field staff. By
communicating with case managers, other professionals, family members and
friends, they ensure an integrated approach to home-based care.
These coordinators also provide information and assistance in accessing
available community resources. In addition, client care coordinators can arrange
for the purchase of medical supplies and rental of equipment. Working with our
field supervisors, they continually monitor and evaluate the clients and staff
to ensure the highest quality of service at all times.
Nightingale's rehab aides are multi-disciplined so they can meet the needs of
clients on a variety of levels. By integrating homemaking, attendant care and
rehabilitative activities, they provide a continuity of care and limit the
number of people involved. Rehab Aides are health care aides with additional
training, education, work experience and life skills.
What's important is the attitude of our rehab team. Their approach is "doing
with" rather than "doing to", which promotes client independence and builds
confidence. |
